Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, with various tasks as needed.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction tools and machinery under direct supervision.
- Documentation: Complete daily logs and reports regarding work progress and materials used.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability: Punctual and consistent attendance with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to Learn: No prior experience required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to various job sites in the NY area.
