Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks and distribute them to the correct locations.
- Assist Tradespeople: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradesmen by preparing workspaces and handing over tools.
- Site Maintenance: Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe by removing debris and ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Demolition & Cleanup: Assist with light demolition tasks and perform general cleanup duties to maintain a professional environment.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, and prepare materials for use according to blueprints and supervisor instructions.
- Tool Operation: Safely operate power tools and hand tools under the direct supervision of a foreman.
Qualifications
- Entry-Level Friendly: No prior construction experience required; we will train the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic measurements and calculations for material cutting.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and willing to work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written safety instructions clearly.
- Tools: Willingness to provide your own steel-toed boots and safety glasses is a plus.
