Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing the job site, including clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools, forklifts, and other machinery under supervision.
- Task Assistance: Support carpenters, electricians, and plumbers with various tasks such as framing, drywalling, and cleanup.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Quality Control: Perform basic inspections to ensure work meets project specifications.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with foremen and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
