Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures as directed by the Site Supervisor.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment ensuring the site remains efficient and safe.
- Assisting Trades: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled tradespeople by carrying supplies, holding materials, or performing basic setup tasks.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, levels) under supervision to assist in building processes.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following all site regulations and cleaning up spills or hazards immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and time sheets as required by site management.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure safety and quality standards are met on the job site.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic construction tools and safety equipment is a plus.
- License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to the job site.
