Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment to designated work areas efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground according to blueprints.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools, pressure washers, and basic construction machinery (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing waste and securing tools.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various on-site tasks as required.
- Documentation: Help with basic site surveys, measurements, and record-keeping as directed by the Site Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not mandatory for the right attitude.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for long periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on uneven surfaces.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record required for transport of materials.
- Safety Conscious: Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and a strong commitment to wearing all required PPE.
- Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work full-time hours including weekends or overtime when necessary.
