Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and power equipment under supervision, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as directed by the Site Foreman.
- Quality Control: Help ensure that work meets project specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long hours.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Reliability: Punctual, hardworking, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
