Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare and clean job sites, ensuring a safe and organized working environment for all crew members.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment as directed by foremen or supervisors.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various tasks to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and machinery, including power saws, drills, and compressors, following all safety protocols.
- Measurement: Accurately measure and cut materials, ensuring precision in all tasks.
- Documentation: Maintain daily logs and report any safety hazards or equipment issues to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including lifting, standing, and walking on uneven terrain.
- Valid Driver's License: A current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not mandatory; we provide on-the-job training.
- Safety Conscious: Demonstrated ability to adhere to OSHA safety standards and site-specific safety rules.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
