Responsibilities
- Excavate, prepare, and clean job sites according to blueprints and safety standards
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery (backhoes, forklifts)
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized storage areas
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and setup
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and maintain a hazard-free work environment
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with team to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction labor or site experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Houston metro area
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Flexible schedule availability (including early mornings and weekends)
