Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual labor tasks including cleaning, painting, and general site maintenance.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with their daily tasks and ensure work areas are organized.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Quality Control: Help ensure work is completed to the highest quality standards and specifications.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing on your feet for long hours.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work a full-time schedule (40 hours per week).
- Basic Math: Strong understanding of basic arithmetic for measurements and material estimation.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions verbally and in writing from supervisors.
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred but not strictly required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Availability: Must be available to work on short notice and flexible with shift changes when necessary.
