Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks such as digging, lifting, loading, and unloading materials.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) with their duties.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Clean and maintain job sites to ensure safety and organization.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Read and interpret basic instructions and plans.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down temporary structures and equipment.
- Report any hazards or issues to the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or a similar labor-intensive role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability with the ability to start immediately.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
- Pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
