Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling, site preparation, and basic construction tasks
- Operate hand tools and power equipment under supervision (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Maintain job site safety standards including proper PPE usage and hazard awareness
- Perform cleanup and debris removal to ensure OSHA compliance
- Read basic blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Transport materials using wheelbarrows, dollies, and light machinery
- Assist in setting up temporary structures and scaffolding systems
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous outdoor work
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
