Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts, bulldozers) with proper certification
- Assist carpenters, masons, and welders on residential/commercial projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to implement construction plans
- Manage inventory and logistics of construction materials
- Complete daily progress reports and quality assurance checks
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and clean driving record
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and construction equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Flexible availability including weekends and overtime
