Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using hand tools, forklifts, and heavy machinery.
- Operational Support: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and masons, by providing necessary materials and assistance.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and comply with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic upkeep and cleaning of tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Site Safety: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and report any potential hazards immediately to the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, general labor, or a related field is preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long hours.
- License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus but not mandatory.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
