Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators with site preparation and construction tasks
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills, etc.) under supervision
- Perform physical labor including digging, lifting, and carrying materials
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA standards
- Assist with demolition and debris removal operations
- Complete daily timecards and safety documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction or manual labor experience preferred
- Valid Louisiana driver's license required
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Orleans Parish
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions (heat, humidity, rain)
- Basic math skills for material measurements
