Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment (excavators, forklifts)
- Mix concrete, pour foundations, and lay bricks/concrete blocks per blueprints
- Assist carpenters, electricians, and plumbers with material handling and task completion
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Perform site cleanup and waste removal daily
- Complete daily progress reports and communicate with supervisors
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic math skills for material measurements and calculations
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with no criminal record
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours daily on uneven surfaces
