Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the site.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and jackhammers (training provided).
- Trade Assistance: Support journey-level tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and masons, with daily tasks and measurements.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Quality Control: Perform basic inspections to ensure work meets quality specifications before proceeding to the next step.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs frequently, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record required.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
