Responsibilities
- Site Preparation & Setup: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding and temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks to designated work areas.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and power tools under supervision, including forklifts, jackhammers, and generators.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized job site by sweeping floors, removing waste, and ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Trade Assistance: Support electricians, carpenters, and plumbers with carrying supplies, holding materials, and performing basic task execution.
- Quality Control: Help ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: Valid Texas Class C driver's license required.
- Safety Mindset: Familiarity with OSHA safety standards is preferred; willingness to wear all required PPE is mandatory.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependability in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction labor is a plus, but we provide on-the-job training for dedicated candidates.
