Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing obstacles and setting up work areas.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as needed.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely and effectively.
- Site Maintenance: Clean and maintain job sites to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
- Support: Perform basic digging, shoveling, and other manual labor tasks as directed by the Site Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in construction labor or general labor is preferred but not required (training available for eager learners).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Safety Conscious: Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
