Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, excavating, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment (e.g., skid steers, compactors) under supervision; clean and maintain tools and machinery.
- Assisting Trades: Help carpenters, electricians, and other tradespeople with daily tasks to ensure project timelines are met.
- Quality Control: Follow blueprints and project specifications to ensure work meets quality standards.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety regulations.
- Physical Labor: Perform physically demanding tasks including digging, lifting heavy objects (up to 50lbs), and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in general labor, landscaping, or construction is preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy weights, stand for long hours, and work in various weather conditions.
- Documentation: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Communication: Basic ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Tools: Willingness to provide your own steel-toed boots and personal protective equipment (PPE).
