Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare construction sites by digging, grading, and leveling the ground according to blueprints.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Machinery & Tools: Operate power tools (saws, drills) and heavy machinery (forklifts, concrete mixers) under supervision.
- Trade Support: Assist electricians, carpenters, and plumbers with specific tasks to ensure project timelines are met.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing debris and following OSHA safety regulations.
- Basic Reading: Interpret basic construction plans and follow verbal instructions from supervisors.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for long periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or general labor is preferred, but training is available for motivated candidates.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Safety Focus: Strong commitment to following all safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Availability: Flexibility to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime when required.
