Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily project tasks and material handling.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Perform site preparation, including excavation, debris removal, and leveling grounds.
- Operate heavy machinery and tools, including forklifts, skid steers, and jackhammers (certification often provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized job site while strictly adhering to OSHA safety regulations.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and safety instructions.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Class C Driver's License is required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and climb ladders.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols is a plus.
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training is available for motivated candidates.
