About the Role:
As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in our daily operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with skilled tradespeople to support various aspects of construction, from site preparation to final clean-up.
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites safely.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding or forms.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery (under supervision) to assist with cutting, drilling, and mixing materials.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Assist Trades: Provide direct support to carpenters, electricians, and concrete finishers as directed by the site supervisor.
- Concrete & Framing: Assist with pouring concrete, mixing mortar, and framing basic structures.
- Demolition: Participate in the safe demolition and removal of old structures or materials.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for long periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Driver’s License: A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Safety Conscious: Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow all safety protocols and instructions.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and communicate effectively with supervisors.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including weekends or overtime as project demands require.
