Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up staging areas, and ensuring the work zone is safe and organized.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials to job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools (e.g., generators, saws, drills) under direct supervision.
- Blueprint Assistance: Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and technical schematics to understand project specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Assist skilled tradespeople in various tasks, ensuring work meets project standards and safety regulations.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, removing trash and debris daily to comply with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous labor for extended periods.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and available for full-time work with consistent attendance.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors and project managers.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are preferred.
- Experience: Prior construction or general labor experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
