Responsibilities
- Site Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with daily tasks and project requirements.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment safely to and from the job site.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and machinery (drills, saws, levels) under supervision.
- Quality Control: Help ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area by sweeping, shoveling, and removing waste.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: A positive attitude and willingness to learn are more important than experience.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on concrete.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for commuting.
- Team Player: Must work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
- Attention to Detail: Must be able to follow instructions precisely and pay attention to safety details.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including potential weekends or overtime as needed.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform simple measurements and calculations.
