Responsibilities
- Perform General Labor: Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from the job site.
- Site Preparation: Help clear debris, level ground, and prepare areas for foundation pouring and framing.
- Equipment Support: Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy machinery under supervision.
- Skill Set Assistance: Support electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and HVAC technicians with daily trade-specific tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic construction plans and diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Physical Demands: Lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, general labor, or a trade apprenticeship is highly preferred.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not always mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Communication: Basic communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Availability: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and night shifts as project demands require.
