Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and accurately transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, with various tasks as needed.
- Operate basic construction tools and equipment, ensuring they are maintained and used safely.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning areas, setting up barriers, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Measure, cut, and shape materials according to blueprints and project specifications.
- Perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Keep daily logs and report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the site supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; valid driver's license required.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA standards is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a cohesive team.
