Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- Site Preparation: Assist in clearing construction sites, removing debris, and ensuring the work area is clean and organized.
- Assist Trades: Support skilled professionals such as carpenters, electricians, and framers with various tasks as needed.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) under supervision.
- Measurements: Measure, cut, and shape building materials (wood, steel, concrete) to precise specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Digging & Excavation: Assist in digging trenches, foundations, and holes as required by the project scope.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Work Ethic: Motivated, reliable, and willing to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or general labor is a plus but not required.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or overtime when needed.
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation to and from job sites.
- Safety Conscious: Basic understanding of construction safety practices and willingness to wear PPE.
