Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground as directed.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment safely to and from the job site.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and tools, such as skid steers, forklifts, and jackhammers, following all safety protocols.
- Assist Trades: Support electricians, carpenters, and plumbers with various tasks including cutting, fitting, and fastening materials.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing waste and ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of previous construction labor experience preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and standing for long durations.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus.
