Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site efficiently.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, roofers) with daily tasks and operations.
- Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools under supervision.
- Perform site cleanup, including removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials to maintain a safe environment.
- Dig trenches, foundations, and holes as directed by site supervisors.
- Measure, cut, and handle lumber and building materials accurately.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations strictly at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Ability to perform rigorous physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long periods.
- Basic math skills for measuring, reading tapes, and understanding measurements.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn new skills quickly.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
