Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and prepare construction materials, tools, and equipment for use at the job site.
- Site Support: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris and following site protocols.
- Basic Construction Tasks: Perform basic digging, leveling, and setting up temporary structures as directed by the site supervisor.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate hand and power tools, as well as light machinery (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; trade school background is a plus.
- Experience: Previous construction experience is helpful, but we are willing to train enthusiastic candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic hand tools (hammers, saws, levels) is an advantage.
- Driver's License: Valid Driverβs License and clean driving record required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
