Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear, clean, and prepare construction sites by removing debris, rocks, and other obstacles.
- Material Handling: Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Assist Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, and masons by fetching tools and materials and performing basic tasks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools, concrete mixers, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized job site in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Measurement: Assist in measuring and cutting materials according to blueprints and specifications.
- Waste Management: Remove waste materials and haul them to designated disposal areas.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction or labor experience is preferred but not required; we offer paid on-the-job training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with power tools and hand tools is a plus.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to work well within a team and follow verbal instructions from supervisors.
- Attendance: Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
