Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and equipment operation under night shift conditions
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Assist skilled tradespersons with concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery (e.g., jackhammers, forklifts) after proper training
- Read and interpret blueprints to execute construction plans accurately
- Monitor material inventory and report supply needs to site supervisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or related field experience required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training available)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
