Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site cleanup
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (hammers, saws, jackhammers)
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material preparation and equipment setup
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site regulations
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Participate in emergency response drills and safety briefings
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in physically demanding conditions
- Flexibility to work nights (10 PM - 6 AM) with rotating weekends
- Basic math skills for material calculations and inventory
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience with concrete work, scaffolding, or demolition preferred
- Strong teamwork ethic and ability to follow instructions precisely
