Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation including excavation, grading, and debris removal
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Operate hand tools (hammers, saws, shovels) and power tools under supervision
- Follow strict safety guidelines and maintain clean job sites
- Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) as needed
- Complete basic tasks like mixing concrete, laying foundations, or framing
- Participate in daily team briefings and project planning sessions
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong commitment to workplace safety standards
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours per day on uneven surfaces
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
