Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks like material handling, site cleanup, and equipment operation
- Follow safety protocols and maintain organized work areas
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and operating hand/power tools
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks as needed
- Participate in daily team briefings and project meetings
- Adapt to various job sites and weather conditions
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – we train from the ground up
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Chicago metro area
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety standards
- Basic math skills for material measurements and calculations
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
