Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and site preparation
- Operate basic hand/power tools under supervision (hammers, saws, drills)
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Perform cleanup and debris removal to ensure safety compliance
- Participate in daily safety briefings and follow OSHA guidelines
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks as needed
- Complete daily equipment checks and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Valid California driver's license (Class C minimum)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Reliable transportation to job sites
