Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup duties
- Operate basic hand tools (hammers, shovels, levels) and power equipment under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized job site to ensure safety and productivity
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support various construction tasks including digging, lifting, and moving materials
- Adapt to changing project needs and weather conditions
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – we train on the job!
- Physical ability to perform manual labor (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Reliable transportation to job sites in Chicago area
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of English for communication with team members
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team
