Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up barriers.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment to various work areas safely and efficiently.
- Supporting Trades: Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with various tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site by sweeping, hauling trash, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and power tools under supervision, ensuring all safety gear is worn at all times.
- Assisting in Demolition: Perform light demolition and renovation tasks, including breaking up concrete and removing fixtures.
Qualifications
- Willingness to Learn: No prior construction experience is required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing on concrete for long durations.
- Safety Conscious: A commitment to following all safety rules and regulations on the job site.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and dependable with a good work history.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and fellow crew members.
- Valid ID: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
