Job Overview:
We are a leading general contractor in New Orleans, specializing in residential and commercial construction. We are expanding our workforce and are seeking hardworking individuals ready to get their hands dirty and learn the trade.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites safely and efficiently.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily tasks and project execution.
- Operate basic construction equipment and hand tools under direct supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing debris and following safety protocols (OSHA compliance).
- Perform general manual labor, including digging, lifting, carrying, and hauling heavy items.
- Read and follow basic blueprints, drawings, and instructions provided by the Site Supervisor.
- Perform site cleanup and preparation work before, during, and after shifts.
Qualifications
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills are essential.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and a strong work ethic are required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
