Responsibilities
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, framers) with daily tasks and installations.
- Perform site cleanup, including removal of debris, trash, and scrap materials.
- Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and skid steers under supervision.
- Transport materials to and from the job site using company vehicles or hand trucks.
- Follow all safety protocols and site regulations strictly to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Measure and cut materials as directed by the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards (OSHA) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and follow instructions.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but equivalent experience is accepted.
