Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling the ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using hand trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment such as concrete mixers, brooms, and compressors under supervision.
- Assistance: Help skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily tasks as needed.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Hand Tools: Utilize hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, and measuring tapes effectively.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for long periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing, kneeling, and bending.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn the trade; no prior experience is required.
- Safety Conscious: Understanding of basic safety protocols and the ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable attendance with a history of consistent work ethic.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.
