Responsibilities
- Site Assistance: Load, unload, and stack construction materials; clean and prepare job sites for daily operations.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic heavy machinery and tools under supervision, such as forklifts, jackhammers, and concrete mixers.
- Formwork & Concrete: Assist carpenters and masons by setting up forms, mixing concrete, and pouring foundations.
- Demolition & Renovation: Perform light demolition tasks, remove debris, and prepare structures for renovation.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with foremen and other crew members to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Punctual attendance and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions and safety briefings.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new trade skills.
- High School Diploma: Equivalent or GED preferred, but not strictly required for this entry-level role.
