Responsibilities
- Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks on the job site.
- Operate basic construction machinery and hand tools safely.
- Clean and prepare construction sites, including removing debris and ensuring a safe work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to prevent accidents.
- Measure, cut, and handle lumber and other building materials as directed by supervisors.
- Perform basic site surveying and measurements using tape measures and levels.
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience is required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
