Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding under supervision.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site efficiently and safely.
- Tool Operation: Learn to operate basic construction tools and heavy machinery (under guidance) to complete assigned tasks.
- Support Trades: Provide assistance to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradespeople to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Cleaning & Organization: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to Learn: No prior construction experience is required; we value attitude and teachability over experience.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Legal Status: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma: High school diploma or GED preferred.
