Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and skilled trades with material handling and site preparation
- Perform excavation, demolition, and debris removal tasks safely
- Operate hand tools (shovels, hammers, saws) and basic equipment
- Maintain clean, organized job sites following OSHA standards
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing work
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver's license preferred (not mandatory)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Basic math skills for material measurement
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites in Philadelphia area
- Pass pre-employment background check
