Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment safely to and from the job site.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) by performing general labor tasks such as holding materials, cleaning work areas, and maintaining tools.
- Measurements: Help measure, cut, and fit building materials to specifications using hand and power tools.
- Site Maintenance: Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and safe by following all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Demolition: Safely assist in the removal of old structures, materials, or debris as directed.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous construction or landscaping experience is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors effectively.
- Safety: Must adhere to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
