Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Operate basic hand/power tools safely and efficiently (hammers, saws, drills)
- Read and interpret basic construction blueprints and project plans
- Perform demolition, excavation, and site leveling tasks as directed
- Maintain organized job sites by sorting materials and removing debris
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Support skilled trades with concrete pouring, framing, and finishing work
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction labor or related trade experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training available)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
