Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing areas, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- General Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as needed.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by removing debris and waste.
- Measurement & Layout: Help measure and mark areas for construction projects according to blueprints.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic heavy machinery and power tools under supervision.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Must have a consistent work history and be punctual.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Attitude: A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn the trade.
