Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Tool Operation: Assist skilled tradespeople by operating power tools and hand tools safely and correctly.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to comply with OSHA safety standards.
- Assistance: Perform general labor tasks such as mixing concrete, carrying lumber, or assisting with concrete pouring.
- Documentation: Help maintain daily logs and report any safety issues or material shortages to the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on concrete or uneven surfaces.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor or general handyman work is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work well in a team setting.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the Phoenix job sites.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively in English and follow verbal instructions from supervisors.
- Safety Conscious: Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
