The Role
As a Construction Laborer, you will support skilled tradespeople in various aspects of building and renovation projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our sites are safe, efficient, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate power tools, pressure washers, and light construction machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws).
- Assisting Trades: Support electricians, plumbers, and carpenters by fetching tools and materials, holding components, and performing basic measurements.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Concrete Work: Assist in mixing concrete, pouring forms, and finishing surfaces to ensure high-quality structural integrity.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in general construction or labor work is preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for long periods, including heavy lifting (up to 50+ lbs) and standing, kneeling, or crawling.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic hand and power tools is a plus.
- License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Safety: Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and able to work well in a team environment.
